This course will equip equine caregivers with a clear understanding of why horses need targeted supplements during the off-season and how to choose them to support immunity, digestion, weight, hydration, and joint health.

By the end of the course, learners will be able to identify five key supplement categories for off-season equine care, explain their physiological rationale (e.g. immune support, GI motility, weight maintenance, electrolyte balance, joint support), and make informed decisions about appropriate formulations and use.

  • Dr. Justine Griesenauer is an equine veterinarian at Cedarbrook Veterinary Care, a mobile equine practice in Washington that takes a holistic approach to caring for horses. As a lifelong rider and horsewoman, she knows how important your horse is and this is reflected in her treatment. She is a graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine.
