Course Description
This course teaches equine caregivers how to perform safe, practical first aid wound care for horses — from initial assessment and bleeding control through cleaning, bandaging, and recognizing when to call the veterinarian.
Things to Learn
By the end of the course, learners will be able to assess wound severity, apply basic bleeding control (pressure, tourniquet if needed), properly clean and dress a wound, stock an effective equine first-aid kit, and know warning signs that require veterinary intervention.
