Dr. Meghan Barrett is an integrative medicine veterinarian who uses both Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) in her practice. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Colorado State University. Dr. Barrett is a Certified Veterinary Medical Acupuncturist for small and large animals, and she is also a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (similar to physical therapy in humans). Her in-depth knowledge of Western medical nutrition is augmented by her training in the TCM method of food therapy, or the art of using food as medicine (Certified Veterinary Food Therapist). Another of her clinical interests is pain management, and Dr. Barrett especially loves working with senior animals to improve or maintain their quality of life as they age. She has a special place in her heart for Huskies because of her incredible dog Heidi who passed away in 2020. When she isn’t working she enjoys spending time with her two horses, and being active in nature.
