Help a shelter dog by taking him out!

A new program called Doggy Day Out encourages members of the public to engage with their local shelter and advocate for the animals.

Want to help shelter dogs in your community? Mutual Rescue™ Doggy Day Out is a great way to do it. Here’s how it works: people take dogs from local shelters on outings such as a hike, a trip to a park, or a sleepover. These outings help shelter dogs manage stress, burn off energy, and learn to interact with others, and they require minimal training for participants. Plus, it’s a great excuse to get out and enjoy some exercise with a canine sidekick.

We believe that everyone has a responsibility to care for animals to the best of their ability utilizing the most natural and minimally invasive means possible. We feel strongly that it’s better to promote a preventative healthy lifestyle for our pets instead of taking a wait-and-see approach. We also fiercely advocate for the quality of animals’ lives, supporting animal rescues and welfare organizations both financially and through our editorial.
