The International Association for Animal Hospice and Palliative Care (IAAHPC) held its first annual conference in Fort Worth, Texas last October. The conference was designed to educate animal care professionals on hospice best practices. Animal hospice care is a growing field, and that means more people will be able to keep their companions comfortable and at home during the last weeks or months of their lives. IAAHPC is dedicated to promoting knowledge about and developing guidelines for comfort-oriented care to companion animals as they approach the end of life. IAAHPC.org
